Carpreader, hes not polluting the air with his tour buses. They run on bio-diesel fuel.
And who wants to watch a concert on TV when you can be there? That's just a lame idea.
He has a spot on his site where you can carpool with other people to the concert, to cut back at least a little pollution.
I think Jack Johnson's main point is that you don't have to go eco-crazy, it's just do what you can do and you and AShaw seem to be missing that.

And he is a great song writer whether you choose to laugh or not.

AShaw, you are probably one of the biggest jerks I have ever seen on a forum. What are you doing for the environment on such a big scale? If you know ANYTHING about Jack Johnson it's that he's not self-important. He's probably the most humble celebrity and was named the most Eco-friendly artist. Sleep Through the Static was recorded on Solar Energy.
He's a member of 1% For the Planet and one the board of Heal the Ocean to which he donated 40,000 dollars. And he doesn't just demand that people at his concert do not use plastic bags, he also asks that they recycle their bottles and cans and donates all the uneaten food backstage to the homeless. He doesn't just advertise eco-friendliness for money, he does it now that his fanbase is so large that he can make a bigger impact.
He has a compost heap in his backyard and solar panels and he rides his bike to the store and other places nearby; do you do that?
So get off your high horse and start putting your money where your mouth is. Where are your world-impacting actions? Before you point your finger, make sure your hand is clean.

And all his fans aren't stoners so please don't judge us without knowing who we really are. And don't knock people who are changing the environment, obviously you're so busy making rude comments, that you don't even do your research.
