So "Killed in a car accident" ring a bell to anyone? I can't believe you folks are taking issue with the headline under these circumstances. But since you are, you can at least "google" this part of the sentence to see the myriad ways that the word "killed" is used in headlines around the world when an accident occurs. "Toddler killed in lawn mowing accident", "Seven people killed in a car accident"....

From what I understand from a bystander, there is much more to this story. Apparently the horse had a rider, the rider was thrown off when the horse got spooked. Said rider got BACK on the horse and attempted to force the horse back toward the water. At this point the rider was thrown again and the horse was that much more terrified. I say BAD FORM to whoever was handling this horse. If you don't pay attention to fear in horses and instead try to force your agenda, things do not usually end well. Someone should start a fb page that protests this treatment, not hail the horse for surviving.
