Pretty crazy as I have appraised this home and dealt with him on real estate transactions...

Aww I am sorry to read this. I really enjoyed the years I got to work with Al at Day & Night Graphics and then seeing him up at Rose Cafe or around the Mesa. He was a fun guy! Much love to his family during this sad time.

It really seems to me that this article was written because you had nothing else to write about or were in the mood to talk poorly about other people. I was hoping it was all a joke, but I guess not. I don't have one, but I find the stickers cute and that is about all the thought I put into them. Never would I look at those and think they were bragging or being self-absorbed or self-centered. It seems to me after reading this, that the author may just be jealous or having a hard time managing her own brood. For some people, it is hard to "make kids" and some not even possible. I too am a "modern" parent with two teenagers, and I can maintain my identity and always have. What a whiney, disappointing view Starshine

I agree with Priceless. I live in Northern SB County and I read about the home invasion right after it happened. It was in the news...

@Fivedolphins - I couldn't agree more! Just this week as I was jogging with my ridgeback/dane mix, a loose pit came charging out of the bushes and tried to attack my dog. Just as I got the pepper spray out, it backed down and I was able to run off. But my leg was scratched and my dog is limping... I was told by animal control to carry pepper spray for this exact reason. It was a pretty scary situation for a bit and I am glad we got away ok. However, even though I called animal control, then the police to report an agressive dog at 6:24 pm, it took until 9:45 am the next day to actually get someone out to pick this dog up.

So sorry to read this. Janice was a wonderful person and such a great friend to my sister, as well as all of our family. She will be missed!

truth_machine: how is his choice not cowardly?
If he was innocent, he should have stayed and fought. At least for the sake of the family he leaves behind, that I agree, must be devastated.

Wow! What a cowardly way to handle the problems that he created. I feel bad for his family and the victim. He sure took the easy way out!
