what an interesting article. i went to SBHS in 1956. the enrollment was something like 1500. i think PDAs were discouraged by peer pressure. they looked so dumb. i suspect people nowadays want to avoid being judgemental so PDAs are if not cool, tolerated.
my question is, what on earth are the couples' motives? i think there is much more to displays than spontaneity.
personally, i don't think PDAs are a sign of of emotional health, on the contrary.

all i can say is, i lived in mexico for two years and gave many rides to mexican hitch hikers, including one with a machete, a feller from out in the plantation, never felt fear. i will not give a hitch hiker a ride in this country regardless of melanin .what am i trying to say?
my view? hold parents responsible and tell the gang brats they should not use "equalizers", guns and knives, just themselves for conflict

i wonder if the police report indicated the ethnicity of the victim and the crowd, which did seem large for the hour. down here in alabama the accident reports give the make and color of vehicles so i asked why not give info such as, is the driver a redhead, a vegetarian?
in this hendry's case though, ethnicity might be informative for any preventative plans. how's that for vague?
i pretty much grew up at hendry's and am saddened by this. condolences to the family

i couldn't agree more, youknowhoo. is that called "circumlocution"? applied to drunks i think it's called "confabulation", not sure but it sounds appropriate. there must be a message in there somewhere but not the claimed, or intended one.

i think seven dolphin's speck in the eye is from the bible, something about a splinter in the eye, jeezus, that sort of thing. nice and fluffy.
as a surviving loved one, my comment is: so one golden gate jumper who survived said he changed his mind on the way down, how many didn't? i say one strike and you're out. it is their right to end.
a friend who also had a parent suicide said he has been through some bad depressions, looked death in the eye, and came out the other end knowing he would never inflict that mess on his daughter.
what is it about bridges? wiki the golden gate for perspective, scroll down to suicide.
