Monday’s ABR review was at the Consent hearing. The two current consent reviewers did not abstain from reviewing Chick-Fil-A due to “scheduling conflicts”, they were in fact at the hearing and reviewed all the other consent agenda items, but as a protest against the company’s president’s stance on marriage equality. A third, willing, ABR member was recruited and reviewed the project after Monday’s regular meetings.

“easy parking, no vagrants, and no graffiti.” - and no middle class or young families. It clear the conservative trio could care less about anybody but their older, well off constituents who elected them. The rest of us need to get active and get out and vote like we did to defeat Measure B.

Go to any public school campus in this county and look at the numerous "portable" classrooms. Build a $ 30 million jail while our kids are going to school in the equivalent of FEMA trailers? No Way!
What kind of message does this send our children about how society values education?
I'd gladly pay an additional half cent sales tax if it went to improving our school facilities. Maybe if we invested more in schools and education would need so many damn jails and prisons.........

Geez, your article should have been subtitled " Will Local Doom & Gloom Crybabies Prevent Another Institution From Fulfilling Its Mission and Contributing to Society ? "
Think Cottage Hospital Modernization, St. Francis Workforce Housing, Botanic Garden, etc.
If our predecessors had shared this kind of mindset we wouldn't have any of the institutions and infrastructure that make your current life on the South Coast possible in the first place!
