When you say "Fairview Avenue will be closed for six to nine months starting Monday, June 16, in the late evening.", does that mean it will only be closed in the Late Evenings for the 6-9 Months but open during the day ??

I like the part about giving sober rides to people so they dont drive. But shouldn't they be giving away the burgers to people that that need them (homeless, etc.) rather than a bunch of rich, drunk college students ??

And, according to Republican Congressman Todd Akin (R-MO) (the same guy who brought you "Legitimate" Rape), Breast Milk is also a cure for Homosexuality in adult males !! Finally the Republicans embrace Science !!

I thought they were amazing. I've been waiting 48 years to cross them off my Concert Bucket-List and it was well worth the wait. It's the Freakin' Beach Boys !!! With all the original members pushing 70 I wasn't sure what to expect, but they definitely did not disappoint. Of course they could have come out, flipped us the Bird, and told us all to go to H-E-Double Hockey Sticks and it still would have been one of the best shows I've ever seen. It's the Freakin' Beach Boys !!!! And I agree with Ken Volok. Brian Wilson may be the greatest American born songwriter of all time (except for maybe Sweet Baby James) !!

First, the Hospital was there LONG before the current residents of the neighborhood. That in and of itself is enough to tell these people to shut up and move if you dont like it. But what gets me is people complaining about something that saves lives !! I mean as much as it kills me to know that selfishness exists at all, the Helipad SAVES LIVES !! The good old "Not in my Backyard" selfishness really irks me. Not only should the Helipads exist, but they should be able to be used 24 hrs a day, 7 days a week (with all the "Orbiting" that is necessary) if that's what is needed to save lives. Not only that but if necessary they should be able to land on these "Neighbor's" homes and have the surgeries performed in their living rooms and their only response should be "Thank you for SAVING LIVES !!" Selfishness is ruining this Country, one "Neighborhood" at a time...

I dont remember a lot of concern coming out of Montecito when the third lanes were installed through the West Side and Goleta. Just another example of the selfishness of people with the "Not in my backyard" mentality.
