$20 years of taxes could be used to fix a bunch of infrastructure, but you know as well as the rest of us it won't. The minute that tax is approved, Chief Sanchez will be driving a shiny new squad car up to the shiny new police station! And of course, we'll be looking at another tax increase for the very same reasons...
Not a big surprise. Welding pipelines together takes the utmost skill. Getting workers that can do that type of work cost extra money. A lot of extra money. Like most projects, it's a lot easier to just bribe the inspectors.
