You and your lib-dem brethren are now reaping what you've sewn. Good luck!

After all the group-think nods and agreement over clinking wine glasses, you and your fellow lib-dem faculty members are finally feeling a tiny portion of the chaos and damage that you've voted and spoken support for. Your feel-good and self-serving conversation and ideals have run headlong into reality.

The worst is not the situation you describe in your letter though. Far from it. The worst is the chaos and destruction you have wrought on the working poor who are being fired or having their full time jobs reduced to part time - or the largest tax increase levied on the middle class *in history* to pay for massive government bureaucracy expansion with no fair or viable way to control health care costs.

Congratulations! You've finally done it! Now go back to writing endless essays or scientific study results that no one reads or cares about while student who need you in the classroom pay massive tuition to be taught by your underlings and TAs.

Let's tackle each one quickly:

1. Stand your ground laws are legal. Lynching's were not. Obama co-sponsored a stand your ground law in Illinois.

2. Canada has an ID requirement to vote. They are not exactly "Jim Crow" kind of folks up there. If you want to vote, show your free, easy to get ID.

3. We're almost $17 *Trillion* in debt. We can't afford the large entitlement state or military budget/wars we have today. Some people want us to spend within our means and back off foreign invasions. For this reason they are crazy tea party nutbags - obviously.

Illegal aliens or their children commit 99% of this horrible behavior as well as 99% of graffiti in Santa Barbara.

Think about that and stop being PC for a minute.

Clearly we need huge amounts of more illegal immigrants and their current or resulting children. Clearly we need to tear down the walls, open the border, cancel the gang injunction effort and "reach out" with after school arts and crafts and of course higher taxes and more lib-dem staffed "community organizers".

Legal immigration = good
Illegal immigration = bad

Only citizens, legal residents and legal visitors have the right to be here.
Everything else is illegal and only supported by

1. lib-dem politicians to get votes
2. The Catholic Church to get parishioners
3. The sappy open borders, welfare for everyone types

Whoops! The GOP controlled house passed a funding bill that the Dem led Senate rejected. All the GOP wanted was the same 1 year delay of mandatory enrollment for individuals that Obama gave to Corporations 2 months ago.

By the way, when Obama used and executive order to exempt corporations for 1 year he violated the separation of powers and changed the law, which is unconstitutional and itself is now being challenged.

Of course we want to punish her. Isn't that obvious? Criminals should be punished for committing crimes. Why is that bad or radical? It was her responsibility to think about the consequences and her kids.

She chose to commit a crime and she knew she was doing it.

Totally agree with spacey on the comment about corporate socialism and completely agree about the profit motive of prisons operated by companies and staffed by government unions. Incentives are mis-aligned there and it's a huge problem.

Hey Cruz:
1. See what John_Adams wrote above. You have excluded yourself and shame on you for your self censorship and for not letting the voters hear from you at the Chamber debate.

2. Your grammar and spelling is a disaster in this letter. Mine is a mess because I am usually rushing while I type on a mobile phone touch screen and simply don't care to proofread; but your are *running for public office*. Good grief! Get it together - it's embarrassing.

Dear Ken:
The wall is not intended to keep out Mexicans and Latin American's as you wrote in your letter. Instead it is intended to keep out illegal entry of persons on the other side of the fence. You might not see a difference in these two statements because you are not looking at it from what the wall is intended to do and because the way you write it satisfies a bias and a belief that the wall is somehow a racist motivated thing.

Regarding your comments about feeding and clothing people: unless they are handicapped that is the responsibility of each able bodies adult or the parents of children AND volunteer groups and churches if they choose.

Meanwhile our country spends billions of taxpayer dollars each year handing our food and clothing and shelter and training and healthcare to its citizens and non citizens alike. We're bankrupting ourselves already overdoing this.

Mr. Cohen has a great idea! Since none of those republicans he wants to throw out we're elected by citizens in their respective districts, we should just do what Mr. Cohen secretly wants but will not admit: a dictatorship of soft tyranny where all his massive government and socialist ideas can be implemented by fiat with Mr. Cohen (a really smart guy who knows better than you) can help preside over every detail of your life.
