Tue Apr 24, 2007 | 07:58am

Explore the ocean by attending two ocean talks given this April. Channel Islands Naturalist Corps Volunteer Annie Crawley will lead these events in relation to the Santa Barbara Reads Program and Island of the Blue Dolphins. Annie has lived around the world from Indonesia to Papua New Guinea and has produced several books and DVDs on ocean life and underwater video taking. Now residing in Santa Barbara, her enthusiasm for protecting our oceans guarantees an educational and entertaining experience.

Discover “The Real Nemo” on Tuesday, April 24 with a video presentation from Annie’s DVD Delving Into Your Imagination. Annie will wear her mask, snorkel, and fins while sharing her knowledge on dolphins and sea lions, and promoting a love for the ocean. Entertain the kids by bringing them to this fun and informative event at 3:30 pm at the S.B. Public Library.

Annie delves into the underwater world of the Channel Islands on Thursday, April 26. With experience as a producer, photographer, dive instructor and educator, Annie will bring plenty of information to the waiting questions about the ocean. The Fifi of California: Exploring the Channel Islands takes place at 7 PM and the S.B. library.
