Following up on a plea made by residents last month, Santa Barbara Police Chief Cam Sanchez has reinstated police bicycle patrols in both Eastside and Westside neighborhoods. Lt. Paul McCaffrey said the cycling officers will address specific objectives, including gang activity and crimes committed by the homeless.
