This month’s 1st Thursday, tonight, June 7, will feature non-native exhibits to fit the theme of the travel season. The Brooks Institute of Photography’s Cota Street gallery will be featuring David Litschel’s Images of Northern Italy along with Dan Merkel’s photographs from the Pacific Northwest. At Edward Cella Art + Architecture will be German artist Thomas Zika’s photography exhibition titled Bathers, in which Zika challenges our preconceived ideas about photographic reality.
