The Solstice Parade is quickly approaching and there are plenty of ways to show your support. Check out the Sojourner Cafe, where an exhibition of past Solstice posters has been on display since June 2. Or stop by Aldo’s Italian Restaurant on June 12, 19, or 26. Ten percent of each bill will be donated to the Solstice Parade, supporting the team of talented artists who make it happen. For those interested in becoming more directly involved, the Summer Solstice workshops continue straight to the day of the parade on Saturday, June 23, and more help is needed to build the floats already under construction and to start new floats. The workshop is located at 631 Garden Street and is open Monday through Friday from 3-8 p.m. and weekends from noon-6 p.m. For more info, call 965-5535 or visit solsticeparade.com.
