Art Museum Wants Your Cell Photos

SBMA's Next Nights Will Feature Your Cell Phone Photography

Think you’re a pretty good shot with your Motorola? Then snap some cell photos and send them in to the Santa Barbara Museum of Art, because at their next Nights event on July 19, they’ll be displaying submitted photos as part of their “Collective Submissions Camera Phone Cinema” installation.

Photos are being accepted until July 7, and then the best will be chosen to be shown on as part of a revolving series on large video screens in multiple places around the museum for one night only. Attendees to Nights – Santa Barbara’s most popular monthly seen-and-be-seen-in-your-best-duds-while-drinking-fancy-cocktails shindig – will be able to walk through the collective photos, catching odd, artistic, and, most importantly, real glimpses into the lives of cell phone photographers.

So take your best shot ever at being shown in the S.B. Museum of Art, and simply snap some cool photos on your cell phone, then send them to me@sbma.net. (For techno-no-nothings, simply type that in on your message where you’d usually put in a phone number.)
