StateSide Restaurant Rises Like Brigadoon for Fiesta

Those looking for some place novel to nosh during Fiesta might want to check out the StateSide Restaurant and Lounge, which for now is more aptly billed the StateSide Patio and Temporary Bars. Just for this weekend there’ll be cocktails (margaritas on tap), finger food, and a DJ adding a hip pulse to the former Acapulco Restaurant location. Eventually the space will cater to, according to its website, the “social enthusiast” in 11,000 square feet of chic trendiness featuring a “nightlife bar.” For now, you get to sit by the large fountain underneath Dos Equis banners alongside papered-up windows as the extensive renovations go on inside. Rumor (also known as the bouncer) has it the full establishment will open this September.
