Attorney Charged with Meth Possession

Following her arrest on charges of methamphetamine possession at Lookout Park in Santa Barbara, former Ventura attorney Lori Lee Coffey appeared in Santa Barbara Superior Court to ask that her felony charge be reduced to a misdemeanor. Deputy D.A. Brian Cota argued that “hundreds of 18- and 19-year-old kids a week are sent down on the same felony,” but Judge George Eskin said that he will consider the case further before making a decision.
