Captivating vignettes of love, marriage, and the idyllic Blue Ridge countryside are coupled with timeless melodies and playfully narrated with lush, poetic lyrics. Combining a mesmerizing assemblage of impeccably delivered Appalachia-influenced roots and jazz-tinged folk tunes, the album has a breezy, vintage feel and a refreshingly understated simplicity. I can’t seem to listen to anything else anymore.
