Among a list of Californians whose appointments by Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger were announced today was 63-year-old Carpinteria resident Elizabeth Rogers, who will serve on the State Teachers’ Retirement Board. Rogers, who formerly served as a managing partner of the Camarillo-based Pacific Earth Resources, and as a boardmember for both the Council for a Green Environment and the California Chamber of Commerce. According to a statement from the Governor’s office, the position still requires Senate confirmation. Her pay will be $100 per each day worked.
A new Deputy Chief of Staff and a new Chair of the Ag Labor Relations Board were also among the list of more than 14 new appointments announced today. Rogers was the only resident of Santa Barbara County. Appointees were split fairly evenly between Republicans and Democrats.
