Teamsters and News-Press Charge Unfair Labor Practices

The Teamsters Union and the Santa Barbara News-Press filed new charges of unfair labor practices last week, with the former accusing the paper of having retaliated against employees by denying purportedly annual raises in 2006 and the latter claiming that former NP employees Dawn Hobbs and Tom Schultz had threatened people preparing copies of the paper for delivery in September 2007. Both sides deny that the charges against them have any merit.
