In the waning days of the Gap Fire, the U.S. Forest Service announced today that it will reopen national forest land south of East Camino Cielo Road between Highway 154 and Gibraltar Road. All national forest lands west of Highway 154 to Refugio Road will remain closed-with prohibitions to all public entry to lands, trails, and recreation sites-until further notice.
