SB Bank & Trust Helps Out Those Who Lost Homes
Free Weekend at the Hotel Mar Monte, Food at Los Arroyos
To the residents of 100 homes estimated to have been lost so far to the Tea Fire, Santa Barbara Bank & Trust is offering a generous free weekend at the Hotel Mar Monte, located at 1111 Cabrillo Boulevard, plus certificates for food at either of Santa Barbara’s two Los Arroyos restaurants.
“This is a disaster for our community, and our hearts go out to everybody who has lost their home,” explained George Leis, president and CEO of Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. People who have lost their home – or even if they have been displaced – may be able to get lodging at the hotel tonight, Saturday night, and Sunday night. Leis explained that the offer is primarily for people whose homes have burned, but they may be able to accommodate people who had simply been evacuated or did not know the status of their home.
In order to find out if you qualify for this offer, call Santa Barbara Bank & Trust at (805) 564-6456 and ask to speak to either Penny Sharett or Dave Hall. Do not go directly to the Mar Monte. You may be asked to prove where you live.
Additionally, Leis explained that he would be keeping the bank’s two Montecito locations open as long as he can. Furthermore, he will also be keeping his location at 20 East Carrillo Street open until 8 p.m. tonight and tomorrow night.
