Results of bacteria tests performed this week by Santa Barbara Channelkeeper and the City of Santa Barbara indicate that four area beaches currently exceed health standards: Arroyo Burro, Butterfly, Refugio, and Hammonds. Would-be beach-goers are advised to avoid these waters until further sampling indicates safer bacteria levels.
