Actor and talk show host Gary Collins arrived at the Santa Barbara County Jail early on Wednesday morning to have a global positioning system (GPS) tracking device placed on his ankle. It will track him while he serves a 120-day sentence at his home for a DUI conviction.

Collins was arrested in Summerland on January 31, 2009, after being pulled over for “driving erratically” in a motor home at the intersection of Lillie Avenue and Olive Street.

During his sentence, Collins is allowed to leave his home for four hours per week to run errands, as well as go to work. Collins will receive credit and be released from the program after 72 days if he abides by the rules.
