On Tuesday, at about 8:30 p.m., Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s detectives nabbed the man suspected of robbing the Buellton branch of Rabobank on Tuesday afternoon. Steven Lawrence Morris, 42, was apprehended outside his Ventura apartment, after detectives used a partial license plate number to locate him. Morris had allegedly given a note to the teller threatening harm unless money was forked over. Although no persons were harmed, an as yet unspecified amount of money was distributed.

Morris was booked at the Santa Barbara County Jail, awaiting trial on charges of armed robbery.
