Rep. Lois Capps announced on 10/2 the approval of $1.9 million for water projects in Santa Barbara County as part of conference report on the 2010 Energy and Water Appropriations bill. The money will be allocated as follows: $202,000 to continue a study investigating shoreline protection and storm damage reduction strategies; $1,606,000 for dredging in Santa Barbara Harbor; and $99,000 to address flooding concerns along lower Mission Creek.
