Food from the Heart Seeks Volunteer Delivery Drivers; S.B. Audubon Society Looking for Volunteers for Large Bird Education Program

• Interested in uplifting the life of someone in acute need once a week? S.B. County’s Food from the Heart-an established 15-year-old nonprofit that provides food and aid to persons recovering from serious illnesses and accidents and to those in hospice care-is looking for cheerful volunteers to deliver food bags in the community on Wednesday afternoons. • Eyes in the Sky is a nonprofit S.B. Audubon Society educational program that presents live birds of prey in a variety of programs to children and adults in the county. A new aviary is being constructed at the S.B. Museum of Natural History (2559 Puesta del Sol Rd.), and volunteers are sought to support increased educational opportunities. Volunteers will be trained in the natural history and handling techniques and maintenance of raptors and other large birds, and then will help feed, exercise, and handle the birds. Call 898-0347.
