Abandoned Street Work

Any idea why our neighborhood streets get torn up, road hazards created, and then they are just left there with no repair work being done? Typical example: Castillo and Ortega. They came along and tore up the street about a month or more ago, and it has just been sitting there-no repair work done-a road hazard on what was a busy one-way street, with signs now getting covered with graffiti after a month.

Instead of finishing the job, now they’re tearing up new streets in other parts of town, like Alamar, etc. Is this a conspiracy to make Santa Barbara unattractive-or just inefficiency? -William Noack
