Goleta Gem Grows Its CSA

Spots Open on Fairview Gardens' Long-Wait-Listed CSA

For a long time, folks figured landing a spot in Fairview Gardens Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program was as difficult as scaring up a reservation at The French Laundry, but those days are no more. Fairview is now welcoming new CSA members with open arms. While Fairview continues to grow the bulk of the produce the CSA provides, they’ve also teamed up with smaller farms to help them out and broaden the program. Recent shares from the farm have featured Chioggia beets as beautiful as they’re tasty, that cruciferous treat kohlrabi, and plump and tender fava beans. CSAs guarantee farmers working capital while promising you fresh weekly deliciousness—it’s a total win-win. Plus Fairview offers tons of recipes if, for instance, that bok choy befuddles you, plus a 10-percent discount at both their farmstand at 598 North Fairview Avenue and at their booth at the Farmers Markets.
