Hoping to broaden your cooking skills? Whole Foods Market (3761 State St.) will host a slew of hands-on food demo workshops this week, open to all Santa Barbarans with an interest in culinary arts. The following are just a few events from the exciting demonstration lineup:

• Local Catch: Cooking demo using recipes that call for sustainable seafood from area waters. (Fri., Oct. 8, 4-6pm.)

• Fall Comforts: Learn how to make black bean buffalo chili and polenta muffins. (Tue., Oct. 12, noon-2pm.)

• All Things Lemon: Sample and learn to cook a variety of artificial ingredient-free lemon products, such as sorbet, wafers, and more. (Thu., Oct. 14, noon-2pm.)
