Witness the majesty of America’s wild horses at the Return to Freedom Living History Tour—a day of equine education and experience at the Return to Freedom American Wild Horse Sanctuary (Jalama Beach Rd., Lompoc), an area ranch currently inhabited by more than 200 wild horses. Attendees will watch herds gallop and graze on the ranch’s rolling hills while learning about the historical significance of wild horses in the U.S. and the political threats they face today. The tour runs 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. this Saturday, June 25, and on the first and last Saturday of each month through September. Tickets are $10-$25; preregistration is required.
