The Solvang Rotary Club, the American Red Cross, Santa Barbara County Chapter, and the Fire Services Training Institute (FSTI) – three local non-profits committed to making the Valley more prepared – were the beneficiaries of the funds raised from the event. In addition to local golfers, many stars came out to show their support as well; Robert Hays who Played Lt. Ted Stryker in the movie “Airplane!” Melissa Biggs of “Baywatch” fame, and Lydia Cornell, a television star from “Too Close for Comfort, amongst others. Laughter was the predominant sound heard throughout the day, but during a brief ceremony some tears were shed when stories about Lenny and projects he supported were shared with the audience.
