SBCC Announces Scholarships for Continuing Ed

Thu Jul 21, 2011 | 12:00am

A direct result of the fallout from budget cuts and previously free class offerings being converted to fee-based, Santa Barbara City College announced a scholarship program this fall semester for select Continuing Education offerings. With new tuition mandates ranging from roughly $25 to $100 for certain Adult Ed classes, the school is offering tuition scholarships for students, with priority being given to those with a particular health-related issue, life enrichment need, or some such special circumstance. The deadline for applications is 8/5 with recipients slated to be announced one week later on 8/12. Registration for fall semester, however, does not begin until 8/22.
