Spanish for “Flower and Song,” Flor y Canto is a Fiesta treat. Representing music and dance from 19th-century Spanish California, Flor y Canto features historic narration and showcases old-timey music, with Santa Barbarans performing on instruments replicated from original acoustic ones used more than a century ago. The evening will also feature dances from the era, performed in authentic costumes. Flor y Canto takes place 7 p.m. on Friday, August 5, at the Santa Barbara County Courthouse Sunken Gardens (1100 Anacapa St.), and admission is free.
