Antioch, SBCC Finalize Unique Transfer Program

Thu Nov 17, 2011 | 12:00am

Antioch University Santa Barbara and Santa Barbara City College signed an agreement on Wednesday morning that formalized a unique transfer arrangement between the two schools. The collaboration — part of Antioch’s Bridge Program — allows SBCC students to transfer up to three years of college credit to Antioch, one-year-more credit than most four-year colleges and universities accept. After transfer, a statement from Antioch reads, students may need to complete as little as one year of study at Antioch in order to complete their BA degree. The “80-40” program allows students to complete as many as 80 units at a community college and the remaining 40 credit hours at Antioch.
