SHE’S BACK: Three years ago, Santa Barbara Independent writer/Peepster Shannon Kelley left the building to pursue other ventures. During that time, she traveled to New Orleans to help Habitat for Humanity rebuild the still-devastated city; cowrote a book titled Undecided, and then went on a lengthy book tour; and entered the blog-o-sphere, becoming a featured writer of the Huffington Post. Busy as she is, Kelley has come back to the paper part-time as head wrangler/arbiter of all the fun and interesting events happening in Santa Barbara. With Kelley at the helm, readers can continue to expect our in-print and online calendar to be as pithy and informative as ever. And we couldn’t be happier to have her back.
