As part of the “Take a Senior to Lunch” Community Action Commission (CAC) Nutrition Services Program, YLS members donated their time and money to make a positive impact in a senior’s live.

The young professionals provided arts and craft materials and helped the seniors create Valentine’s Day cards for their friends and family. Food and drinks were provided by the seniors as a thank you for YLS members. “THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!! I heard the seniors LOVED everyone and had a wonderful time. It truly made a difference in their lives!” wrote Tia Walker, CAC Development Associate.

In collaboration with CAC, YLS is promoting the “Take a Senior to Lunch” Campaign. To donate & provide a hot meal for a senior in need, please go to: www.cacsb.com/donate.php#senior.

The goal of United Way’s Young Leaders Society is to promote and encourage philanthropy and volunteerism among the young leaders of Santa Barbara County, through participation in a variety of social, educational, volunteer and network opportunities.
