Gary and Catherine of KLITE 101.7 – Duo of two decades!

“Gary and Catherine in the Morning” is Santa Barbara’s longest running radio show and the double act is one of the most enduring radio teams across the United States!

Over their 20 years together on KLITE 101.7, the pair have been consistently been rated #1 in the market and numerous times have won “Best Radio DJ’s” in the Readers Poll of the Santa Barbara News-Press and The Independent.

Gary and Catherine are perhaps best known for their generous hearts, because of their commitment to the Santa Barbara community. They highlight and assist hundreds of non-profits annually, with on-air interviews, emceeing events and raising funds. Their yearly Valentine’s Day Radiothon has raised over one hundred thousand dollars for various organizations supporting youth causes.

About Gary and Catherine:

Gary moved to Santa Barbara from Connecticut in 1983 and first worked as a radio DJ for KIST 1340am. Apart from his work on KLITE 101.7, Gary has been seen and heard on thousands of television and radio commercials. His entertainment career has included a long-time host position of the TV program Best of Santa Barbara.

Catherine is a Santa Barbara native and also the owner of CR Voice Productions. Aside from her work on the KLITE Morning Show, Catherine also anchors morning news and special reports on KTMS 990 and hosts an afternoon drive show (4pm-7pm) for Classical Station KDB 93.7. Catherine has received Congressional recognition for her work serving the community in broadcast and is a recipient of “Woman of Achievement Award” from the national organization, Women in Communications.
