Diane Mooshoolzadeh — UCSB alum and Santa Barbara Independent copy editor — slips on her dancing shoes four days a week and waltzes to UCSB’s Cotillion Dance Club, where social and competitive dancers step to the tango and paso doble, as well as the samba and hustle. The club’s Beach Ball Ballroom Competition takes place at UCSB’s Corwin Pavilion on Saturday, November 8, and Mooshoolzadeh will be competing with her partner and boyfriend, Phillip Kohl.
