In a letter to this paper, Brooks Firestone complains that a recent entrant into the race for the 3rd District Supervisor position improperly used his name in an announcement implying an endorsement.

I am the candidate who used Brooks Firestone’s name — and Supervisor Doreen Farr’s — in my press release. Both names clearly were used in the context of demonstrating that I have a record of being able to work with people who hold differing opinions.

I will help him make this issue perfectly clear: I do not have Firestone’s endorsement, I do not seek it, and if he were to offer it, I would not accept it.
