‘Harmonia Rosales: Entwined’ Inspires a Show in Memphis

After a crowd-pleasing show at UC Santa Barbara, paintings by Harmonia Rosales will soon be featured at Spelman College as part of a touring exhibit from the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. Included is a new work, “Master Narrative,” an installation that reimagines the Sistine Chapel as the lining of an overturned slave ship.

In light of our affordable housing crisis, I was shocked that the mayor and the majority of the City Council (with the exception of Councilmember Sneddon), approved an individual project in our neighborhood that exponentially increases the price of nearby real estate, even further placing home ownership out of reach for regular families.
