Compline with Story and Sound

An evening service intended for rest and contemplation. Compline is led by the Rev. Sarah Thomas. It begins with synthesized ambient music by DJ artist, Andrew Elia, then there is a transition with loose-leaf brewed herbal tea, and the evening concludes with the opportunity to hear a person share a personal story. This month’s storyteller is Scott Wilson, who was born and raised in Santa Barbara before working for more than 30 years as a journalist for The Washington Post, covering conflicts in Latin America and the Middle East, the Obama presidency and the American west. Incense and candlelight are used during the service. Trinity is an LGBTQ+ welcoming and affirming congregation.  www.trinitysb.org/compline
