Cyanotype Photography workshop

Cyanotype: Alternative photographic print making workshop Host: Ashly O. Photographer + Owner of Indigo Sol photography Come sip, mingle, and print your own unique cyanotype photographs. Join us on Sunday, March 17th 12pm-2:30pm. Learn how to create a Cyanotype photographic print with deep ‘Indigo’ blue hues in this hands on workshop. Participants of this workshop will use ocean and botanical specimens, feathers, found objects, stencils, and other common objects to create one of a kind pieces on pre-treated light sensitive fabric. Each participant will gain the knowledge of how to make these simple unique photographs and leave with 2, 8.5′ x 11′ , one of a kind pieces of their own. You will be using 100% all natural pretreated cotton fabric. ($10 for each additional print made thereafter). Matte and framing finishing station will be available as well for $5.00 KID AND FAMILY FREINDLY! ( Children Must be accompanied by adult) ***Space is very limited for this workshop*** All materials are provided! Kid friendly beverages and light snacks provided, wine will also be available for adults. The simplicity of the cyanotype process makes it a great introduction to those new to photography or altrenative printing, while the variations of beautiful blue tones and artistic flexibilty also recommends for the serious fine art practitioners. Dress Code: Dress comfortably, check the weather, you may want sunscreen or a hat since you will be exposed the sun most of the time, and please wear comfy shoes.
