This weekend trying is for all yogis–beginners through teachers!
This training evokes transformation in your practice, in your teaching, and in your life. It inspires you to share your insights with your students.
This course is a component of the Santa Barbara Yoga Center’s advanced studies and teacher training programs.
Certified yoga teachers will receive 12 hours towards the 300 hour certification.
Mindfulness helps you become a better teacher and student of life by providing you tools and skills to become more resilient to stress. Gain immediate access to your own powerful inner resources for insight and healing. Enjoy the present moment and experience more peace, calm and happiness.
Day 1 – includes exploring ‘Why Mindfulness?’ and how to develop ‘Presence’ and ‘Attunement ’.
Day 2 – is conducted as a mindfulness retreat mostly in silence (lunch is included). Learn how to teach various mindfulness meditations and practices.

Barbara Rose Sherman, a Yoga Alliance Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher 500, earned a B.S. degree from the University of Southern California. She is a Trained Mindfulness Facilitator through the UCLA Semel Institute for Neuroscience and Human Behavior and a UCLA Mindful Awareness Practices Affiliated Teacher. She is co-author of the college textbook, Yoga for the Joy of It!.
