Meteorites can be mysterious pieces of our solar system. What are they made out of, where do they come from, and why are they magnetic? What is a meteor shower? Are meteors a threat? If so, what can we do about that?
Santa Barbara Astronomical Unit Outreach Coordinator and Gladwin Planetarium presenter Chuck McPartlin answers your meteorite questions and more!
Join this fun and friendly conversation conducted by the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History, and quench your thirst for knowledge about science and nature in this ongoing series of free science talks held on the second Monday of every month. No tickets or reservations required, but be sure to get to Dargan’s (18 E. Ortega St. in downtown Santa Barbara) early to secure a seat and order your favorite food and drink.
