Members of the Santa Barbara Museum of Natural History and Sea Center can join Invertebrate Zoology Collection Manager Vanessa Delnavaz, M.A., to learn what types of mollusks are commonly eaten, where they are found, and tips for selecting sustainable seafood.

This is a free, Members-Only virtual science presentation via Zoom, part of the Museum’s May series of Virtual Cocktails with a Curator. Museum and Sea Center staff will share their expertise from behind the scenes, plus a themed cocktail recipe you can craft at home.

Suggested Cocktail – Clamshell Cosmo: 1 ½ oz vodka, ¼ oz cranberry juice, ½ oz triple sec or Grand Marnier, ¼ oz fresh lime juice

If you need to stock up, you can shop online for a variety of liquors and hand sanitizer from locally-owned Cutler’s Artisan Spirits, the Museum’s premier liquor sponsor and Santa Barbara’s first legal distillery.

Event is free for Members, but registration is required.
