SB Charitable Gift Planners Hosts Webinar “Digital Estate Plans: Why You Need One and How to Make One” on Tuesday, May 11, 2021

The Santa Barbara Charitable Gift Planners chapter is hosting an online educational webinar “Digital Estate Plans: Why You Need One and How to Make One” on Tuesday, May 11, 2021 noon to 1 p.m. Speakers are Abby Schneiderman and Adam Seifer, co-founders of Everplans. Everplans is a comprehensive online product for creating, organizing, and storing your end-of-life plan.  They are also authors of “In Case You Get Hit By A Bus”.

Abby Schneiderman, Everplans Co-Founder and Co-CEO is a repeat entrepreneur who loves finding ways to use technology to make people’s lives better. She is an industry expert in the areas of digital estate planning, technology, and consumerism. Prior to co-founding Everplans, Schneider was a principal at Tipping Point Partners, a NYC start-up incubator, where she was part of the team that launched several businesses, including AppOrchard, an iOS consultancy for the enterprise, and Cookstr, a recipe-driven nutritional technology company. In 2004, Abby co-founded Haystack Media, one of the first music social networks. She graduated from the University of Pennsylvania.

Adam Seifer, Everplans Co-Founder and Co-CEO is a repeat entrepreneur with a great interest in online social dynamics. He was a co-founder of Fotolog, a pioneering international photo-sharing community that encouraged people to share little updates on their lives via images. Seifer was also part of the team that launched sixdegrees.com, the first major online social network and is an inventor on US patent 6175831 (“the social networking patent”) currently owned by LinkedIn. He graduated from Brown University.

Charitable Gift Planners of Santa Barbara, formerly known as the Planned Giving Round Table of Santa Barbara, is a professional association for non-profit development officers and allied professionals in financial, legal, accounting, and consulting services. The chapter’s purpose is to educate members about charitable gift planning, advance the mission of non-profit organizations, and better serve the philanthropic goals of donors and clients. The local council is affiliated with and a Chapter of the National Association of Charitable Gift Planners.
