Following up Charles Donelan’s cover story on Center Stage Theater’s 20th anniversary, this week’s Poodle Radio brings on three of the people who have made the theater the Santa Barbara institution it is today. Executive Director Teri Ball, Board of Directors President Vickie Scott, and Senior House Manager Jordana Lawrence all have stories to tell about the organization and their personal experiences with it. As the first “black box” experimental theater in the city, Center Stage has spent its first two decades offering both a place for the sort of theatrical productions that might not otherwise reach Santa Barbara and a well-equipped laboratory for entirely new ideas in the form.

This week’s music, collected as always by Poodle Radio music producer Aly Comingore from bands and artists scheduled to play in town, includes selections from Kitten, The 20-22, and Gringo Star. You can tune into Poodle Radio live every Tuesday morning from 8-9 a.m. on KCSB, 91.9 FM in Santa Barbara or on KCSB’s webcast at KCSB.org.
