The Indy hosted Santa Barbara District 3 candidates Oscar Gutierrez and Tony Becerra at a forum held at the Westside’s Harding University Partnership School on September 18. The two vying for a City Council seat — the one Gutierrez currently holds — answered a range of questions from moderator Nick Welsh and the audience that highlighted a few similarities and a number of differing thoughts and philosophies.
