SBIFF Names Cinema Vanguard Honorees

Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones

The 30th anniversary of our town’s International Film Festival is shaping up to be one of its most impressive, with actors Steve Carrel (Foxcatcher) and Michael Keaton (Birdman) already slated to receive awards.

Today the festival announced two more electrifying actors—Eddie Redmayne and Felicity Jones are being honored with the Cinema Award for their star turns in The Theory of Everything, the biopic about Jane and Stephen Hawking.

The Cinema Vanguard Award takes place Thursday, January 29. For tickets to all of the Santa Barbara International Film Festival’s 2015 events, visit sbiff.org or call (805) 963-0023.
