Ernest W. Jeffries
Ernest W. Jeffries was born in 1957 in Hockswald, England. He was an avid Norwich soccer team supporter and amateur historian specializing in British events from Henry VIII to the present reign of Queen Elizabeth II. In between games of liars dice with his mates at a favorite watering hole, he was always up for a spirited Anglo-American debate.
Having recently resurrected his credible golf game, he enjoyed “beating the trousers off” his partner, a Yank and onetime RAF pilot, Matt.
Whether visiting the Reagan Library in Simi, attending shows at the Granada or road trips to many local venues, Ernie appreciated varied cultural events and the ensuing discussions thereof.
Ernie met and married his wife, a USAF airman stationed in England. They moved to California where they both worked at Vandenberg AFB. At VAFB and then at local civilian facilities, Ernie distinguished himself as a building inspector for many years.
Forced into early retirement due to illness, he eventually succumbed to cancer on 1/29/13.
To his many friends, medical staff and Dr. J, Ernie sends his love and good tidings.
