Joe Burke

Joe Burke, beloved father of Caitlin, devoted partner in adventures and parenting to Debbie, cherished brother to Johnny, Nancy, Marylou, Kiki, Kevin, Brian and Bruce and lifelong friend to so many will be missed and remembered always. After a brief illness, Joe left us peacefully on Wednesday, May 29.

We will remember him in so many ways: a lover of people, friendly and outgoing, a lover of the ocean, a sailor, a surfer and owner of IV Surf Co. for many years, a lover of horses, especially his beloved Gio, driving his restored Porsche around Santa Ynez, making deals and friends wherever he might be.

You left us too soon Joe. We know you are at peace, with Kiki, your Mom and Dad.

Please join us in remembering Joe and celebrating his 63 years with us at noon on Father’s Day, Sunday, June 16 at Sea Outlook Park in Isla Vista; Camino Corto and del Playa. Those with boards are welcome to join a paddle out in his honor.
